Fun Fact:
Out of the 18 Libertarian candidates at the Libertarian National Convention, Gary Johnson is the only one who supports the idea of drivers’ licenses.

He is quite the riot though:

Yeah...he’s not going to be president.

Awesome video!

That said, he passed his first test so far: choosing a running mate. The other three all failed miserably (but I’ll give Trump half credit for offering it to Kasich first, even though Kasich understandably turned it down)

All 3 running mates just seem like different shades of beige, not that there’s anything wrong with that considering the primary candidates. Pence scares me a bit and isn’t as good at damage control as he needed to be, but I don’t really see what’s wrong with ummmm...whatever Hillary’s running mate is called he’s so bland. It was a very safe, noncontroversial pick from the Dems, even if there was truly some political wheeling-and-dealing that made it happen.

As for Kasich, I think he’s incredibly dishonest and manipulative. While he gets on stage and talks-the-talk of being a moderate, the legislation he endorses and signs as a Governor is actually very far right when it comes to social issues. He sweet talks and tells anecdotes about himself being ever so slightly progressive, but that doesn’t translate at all to his record or his policy. It’s just a facade, even more so than most politicians.

The only moderate thing he did was take the Affordable Care Act money for the state expansion of Medicaid. While there were caveats that came with that money, it was basically free cash from the feds for improving state healthcare. From any logical standpoint, the Medicaid expansion should be one of the least controversial parts of the ACA, so I wouldn’t exactly say that single act makes him a moderate.
